Man Died of Natural Causes, Jury Rules
From Staff and Wire Reports
Natural causes killed a Novato man while he was in the custody of Twin Cities police, a Marin County coroner’s jury ruled.
The jury was called to hear the case of Bernard Anthony Curry, 45, who died July 13 after being arrested on foot in the fast lane of U.S. 101 in Corte Madera.
The jury heard two hours of testimony and deliberated for about half an hour Thursday before voting 9 to 3 for natural causes.
The three who voted no said they thought the death was an accident.
