Disney Hall galas featured on radio
No tickets for the opening galas at Walt Disney Concert Hall? You can still listen. The Oct. 23-to-25 concerts will be broadcast live on KCRW-FM (89.9) beginning at 7 each night.
KCRW also has produced a series of four half-hour programs about the classical music venue, covering its design, construction and principal occupant, the Los Angeles Philharmonic.
The series will air Oct. 20 to 22 at 2:30 p.m., repeating at 7 p.m., with the final installment scheduled at 7:30 p.m. and repeating Oct. 23 at 2:30 p.m.
The series also will be heard in two hourlong segments on KUSC-FM (91.5), Oct. 20 and 21 at 7 p.m.
