Panel to Check Prisons After Ex-Priest’s Killing

Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney named a blue-ribbon panel to review the state’s prison system following the August jailhouse slaying of John Geoghan, a former priest at the heart of a clergy sexual abuse scandal.
Former Massachusetts Atty. Gen. Scott Harshbarger will lead the commission, which includes current and former corrections officials, community leaders and state lawmakers, Romney said.
