Uncertain election

Interesting article David Shaw wrote (“A Dominant Candidate Dominated Press Coverage,” Oct. 12), and I agree with most of what he says except for a few things. I don’t think anyone was sure how the election was going to turn out after the Times wrote those articles, but his article makes it sound like the election was in the bag because of all the publicity, good or bad, he got throughout the campaign. If people interpreted last week’s information differently, he would have lost despite all the excess publicity he got prior to that.
