Quiet and nicely decorated with warm, colorful walls. Three rooms, one with private bath. Hostess Anne Messier serves a lovely breakfast and helps guests map out their day. There’s a small kitchenette and sitting room for guests. Close to a main subway stop in the Latin Quarter.” Doubles start at $56 with shared bath; $86 for private bath.

The name of the company is very appropriate since there were only 20 of us, making it feel like a personal group of new friends traveling together. Organizer Roberta Kritzia selected small, quaint hotels and excellent restaurants and day trips. Art instructor Glenn Vilppu was excellent, providing demonstrations and feedback.” Next tour will be June 6-17, $3,395 per person, double occupancy, land only. Single surcharge $795.
