Jackson Rancheria in Amador County is looking for a cashier, Thunder Valley in Placer County needs an accountant and Cache Creek in Yolo County is looking for a bingo caller.

The three tribal casinos closest to the Sacramento metropolitan area plan to fill nearly 1,300 jobs in the next six months, casino officials said.

While other industries suffer, the gaming industry stands out as one that is doing very well, particularly in less urban areas, according to David Lyons, a labor market consultant with the state Employment Development Department.
