A professor of family medicine at Case Western Reserve University has received a $1-million federal grant to study whether involvement in the arts can help children avoid drugs and risky sexual behavior, the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
The newspaper said that the academic, Antonnette Graham, will coordinate a program involving 300 Cleveland children between the ages of 11 and 14 to assess the impact of participating in art and music endeavors.
