Three Mummified Babies Found in Attic
A family renovating a rural home they had lived in for three years found an old trash bag in an attic crawl space containing the mummified bodies of three infants. Brown County authorities said they were investigating the deaths as homicides.
Chief Deputy Mike McCoy of the sheriff’s department said authorities were searching for the home’s prior occupants and that no arrests had been made.
The infants’ ages and genders had not been determined because of deterioration. The medical examiner’s office is examining the remains.
