From Bloomberg News

Time Warner Inc.’s America Online unit was sued by Ohio regulators, who accused the company of failing to honor customer requests to cancel their Internet service accounts.

AOL said its terms of service agreement clearly spelled out how members were billed and how they could cancel to avoid charges.

The Ohio suit accuses AOL of violating a 1998 agreement with Ohio and at least 43 other states under which AOL agreed to measures to ensure that its free trial offers, cancellation procedures and billing policies were adequately disclosed.
