Peterson Hearing Delayed to Late October
The preliminary hearing in Scott Peterson’s double-murder trial was postponed Tuesday until late next month to give the defense more time to review evidence.
The hearing, at which prosecutors are expected to lay out their case against the fertilizer salesman in the deaths of his wife Laci and their unborn son, was originally scheduled for next Tuesday.
But Mark Geragos, Peterson’s attorney, said he needs to review thousands of pieces of evidence, including about 1,500 items that he hasn’t yet received.
At Geragos’ request, Judge Al Girolami rescheduled the hearing for Oct. 20.
