Panel Delays Flagpole Decision for 2 Weeks
From Times Wire Reports
The American Legion and Marine Corps veterans will have to wait two more weeks for a decision on whether they can display a 50-foot-high flagpole.
In a meeting Tuesday, the Architectural Review Commission delayed the vote to Sept. 15, because of concerns about the pole’s location, lighting and height.
The proposed site is within space zoned for conservation. The City Council said the pole would be more appropriate in an area zoned for office use.
