Memorial Mass Is Planned for the Rev. Barbour
A memorial requiem Mass for the Rev. Carroll Barbour, former rector of St. Thomas the Apostle Episcopal Church in Hollywood, will be held at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 30 at the church, 7501 Hollywood Blvd. A reception will follow.
Barbour, who was one of the few priests of any denomination in Los Angeles to welcome worshippers with AIDS when he became rector in 1986, died July 1 of complications of a pulmonary disorder. He was 72.
