BofA Mutual Fund Chief Leaves Bank

The head of Bank of America Corp.’s mutual fund business who was accused by the New York attorney general of helping a hedge fund improperly trade mutual funds has left the company, people familiar with the matter said.
Robert Gordon is the third of the four bank employees named in the probe by Atty. Gen. Eliot Spitzer to leave the Charlotte, N.C.-based bank.
Charles Bryceland, who ran the bank’s New York brokerage for wealthy clients, and Theodore Sihpol, a broker there, also have left Bank of America, people familiar with the matter said.
Bank of America shares rose 23 cents to $75.83 on the New York Stock Exchange.
