Suit Seeks Return of 160 Marijuana Plants
From Times Wire Reports
Lawyers for a medical marijuana cooperative in Santa Cruz will head to a federal appeals court Wednesday to ask for the return of more than 160 pot plants seized by federal agents in a raid last year.
The Wo/Men’s Alliance for Medical Marijuana sued weeks after the September 2002 raid, seeking return of the plants and other personal items.
A federal judge denied the request, except for the return of a computer and some other items.
