A weekend full of upsets caused plenty of movement in the Associated Press college football poll.

Oklahoma and Miami remained in the top two spots for the third consecutive week, but four teams dropped out of the top 10.

The Sooners received 55 of the 65 first-place votes and 1,612 points. The Hurricanes got three first-place votes and 1,537 points.

USC, which did not play, moved up one spot to No. 3 and had two first-place votes.

Ohio State also moved up one spot to No. 4 after its 18th consecutive victory and had the remaining five first-place votes.

Michigan became the highest-ranked team to lose this season when it was upset by Oregon, 31-27. The Wolverines dropped from No. 3 to No. 11 and Oregon moved up 12 spots to No. 10.

Kansas State and Pittsburgh lost to unranked teams from the Mid-American Conference. The Wildcats fell from sixth to No. 16 after a 27-20 loss to Marshall, and the Panthers dropped eight spots to No. 17 after a 35-31 loss to Toledo.

The USA Today/ESPN coaches poll had the same top eight teams as the AP poll.

Northern Illinois (3-0) made its first-ever appearance in the poll, debuting at No. 20 following a 19-16 victory at Alabama.

Minnesota (4-0) joined the poll at No. 24 and Arizona State dropped out following a 21-2 loss at Iowa.
