Share

Shawnee Slade will try to remain perfect in 2004 when she races nine other mares in tonight’s $15,000 Paradise Beach Handicap.

Trained by Adan Farias for owner Beatrice Perez, the 4-year-old daughter of Red Hot Rhythm is unbeaten in three starts this year at three distances.

She won by a nose going 300 yards, the distance of the Paradise Beach, on Jan. 17; came back to win by a neck at 350 yards on Feb. 5, then shortened to 220 and won by a head on Feb. 29.
