Giving in to the fear

I came across this site recently while Googling for climbing details, and PlanetFear began stalking me. I could not get away from it. Every time I plugged in a keyword, say, “Bishop, California,” or “bouldering,” it led to this website. Finally, I gave in and just surfed PlanetFear for most of my climbing questions. I wasn’t disappointed.

The site has two major components, an online climbing/mountaineering magazine and a gear shop. Roam the travel section, “MicroGuides,” for maps, ratings and the general lowdown on buzz zones like El Protero Chico, just south of the Texas border, or Prins Christian Sund in southern Greenland, home to some of the tallest sea cliffs in the world. There are also climbing features, news and event coverage and product reviews. All handholds and belays should lead here.
