Google Plans Improved Service for Advertisers

Share

Google Inc. is expected to introduce a new service today that lets advertisers better target Internet searchers by region, city or even neighborhood.

The Mountain View, Calif., company can pinpoint computer users’ locations by their numerical Internet addresses and use that information to let pizza parlors, for example, target their ads to Internet users logging on from within their delivery area.

Google is offering the advertising program in the U.S., Canada, and six European countries.
