* Scott Harding, L.A. Loyola: Was three for three with two doubles and three RBIs, and Evan Alexander struck out eight in five innings of relief for the Cubs in a 7-5 upset of No. 24 La Mirada in the St. Paul tournament.

* Paul Canedo, Diamond Bar: Pitched a four-hitter, striking out nine, and Trevor Barkley added two hits, two RBIs and two runs scored for the Brahmas in a 6-1 win over Long Beach Poly in the championship of the La Palma Kennedy tournament.

* Justin Wheeler, Lakewood: Threw a no-hitter and was three for three with two runs scored for the No. 5 Lancers in a 9-1 victory over Anaheim Katella in the La Palma Kennedy tournament.

* Laura Briones, San Bernardino Cajon: Had a two-run double in the third inning in a 2-1 upset of No. 10 Diamond Bar in the championship of the Righetti tournament.

* Megan Enyart, Goleta Dos Pueblos: Hit two solo home runs for the No. 13 Chargers in a 3-2 victory at Santa Maria Righetti in the third-place game of the Righetti tournament.

BOYS’ TENNIS

* Steve Elson and Chuckie Huenegardt, Brentwood: Won, 5-7, 6-3, 6-2, at No. 2 doubles for the Eagles in a 10-8 nonleague victory at No. 9 Fullerton Troy.

BOYS’ VOLLEYBALL

* Robert Pate, Chatsworth: Had 17 kills, eight assists and three blocks for the No. 9 Chancellors in a 25-23, 25-27, 25-10, 25-18 victory over Granada Hills.
