Customer over a pork barrel

I wanted to let you know how much I loved “Neurotic, Table for One,” by Paul Brownfield (March 25).
Ever since I was a little kid ordering at a restaurant, it has been exactly how Brownfield described it! Thanks for making me laugh.
Here’s a recent episode: I could not decide what to have on the side with my pancakes. My choice was either sausage or bacon (no substitutes). Both sounded a little fatty. So I asked the waitress her opinion and she said, “I love the sausage; I have it every day.” She was quite overweight, so I chuckled to myself and thought “I give up. It doesn’t matter what the heck I order.”
