Government Condemns Cheney’s Warnings
North Korea denounced warnings by U.S. Vice President Dick Cheney last week that the reclusive nation might sell nuclear weapons to terrorist groups, calling the idea “total ignorance.”
“It is quite understandable that the U.S. can not sleep in peace, terror-stricken by Al Qaeda, but its unreasonably linking [North Korea] to such [an] organization is an expression of total ignorance and nothing but a farfetched attempt to justify its hostile policy toward” North Korea, the official Korean Central News Agency quoted a Foreign Ministry official as saying.
