Jermaine Dye hit a two-run double in the ninth inning, leading the Oakland Athletics to a 7-4 win over the Seattle Mariners on Wednesday night at Seattle.

The rally spoiled a comeback by the Mariners, whose four-game winning streak ended. Pinch-hitter and former Dodger Dave Hansen hit a three-run home run in the seventh to tie the score, 4-4.

Oakland pulled it out in the ninth, though. Eric Byrnes drew a leadoff walk against reliever Mike Myers (0-1) and Eric Chavez singled to right.

Brad Radke gave up seven hits and six runs, his shortest outing since May 30, 2002, when he was injured after recording only one out against the Angels.

New York 3, Chicago 1 -- Alex Rodriguez homered, and Jorge Posada hit a tiebreaking shot in the seventh inning at Chicago. After losing three of four in Boston, the Yankees have won the first two games in Chicago.
