Renewed: “Malcolm in the Middle,” “The O.C.,” “24,” “The Bernie Mac Show,” “The Simpsons,” “King of the Hill” and “That ‘70s Show” will all return next season, Fox said Wednesday. The network also has renewed its late-night comedy show “MADtv” for three more seasons.

Remake: Glenn Close and Patrick Stewart will play English royalty in a remake of “The Lion in Winter” that Showtime plans to air May 23. Katharine Hepburn and Peter O’Toole starred in the 1968 film version.
