CDC Sees Heart Threat From Indoor Smoking

The national Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is warning people at risk of heart disease to avoid buildings and gathering places that allow indoor smoking.
In a commentary in the British Medical Journal, the CDC said doctors should advise people with heart problems that secondhand smoke could significantly increase their risk of a heart attack.
The agency said as little as 30 minutes’ exposure could have a lethal effect.
