Foreign Oil Workers, Soldiers Are Ambushed

Two foreign contractors working for a U.S.-based oil services company were killed along with three Nigerian soldiers in an ambush in the southern delta region, the military said.
Brig. Gen. Elias Zamani said he had not yet determined the nationality of the two expatriates, but they worked for Texas-based Willbros, which is under contract to ChevronTexaco.
The three soldiers had been protecting the foreign workers, Zamani said.
