City Will Put Its Heart Into Its Famous Song

Visitors who left their hearts in San Francisco may soon be able to find them on the city’s sidewalks.
The city is planning to decorate its streets with 5-foot-tall fiberglass hearts painted by local artists.
San Francisco is the latest city on the fiberglass sculpture bandwagon. Chicago had fiberglass cows, Seattle fiberglass pigs and San Jose fiberglass sharks.
While San Francisco isn’t known for any particular animal, tourists can’t seem to get enough of that famous song about leaving your heart here, according to organizers of the Hearts in San Francisco project.
