Diplomatic Dust-Up

Re “Citing Shift on Israel, Jordan’s King Delays Talks With Bush,” April 20: King Abdullah II has just slapped the U.S. in the face. He canceled a meeting with President Bush just because he did not like Bush’s feelings about Israel, the Gaza Strip and the West Bank. Millions of our tax dollars go to support Abdullah. So many of our citizens go hungry, but we keep Abdullah on his throne and well fed. It is time we tell this little king to go look somewhere else for his monthly check. Our checkbook is closed.
