Mahalo to Brenda Wong for “Oahu: Leaving the Beach Behind” (April 11). I also recommend the Polynesian Cultural Center (www.polynesia.com), where kids and adults can spend an enjoyable day experiencing all the cultures represented on Hawaii. Visitors learn how to make things, perform dances, sample traditional foods and more.
