$15.5 Million Frees Jailed Relative of Ex-President

The son-in-law of ousted President Eduard A. Shevardnadze was released from jail, and tax evasion charges against him were dropped after his wife paid the government $15.5 million.
Gia Dzhokhtaberidze did not admit to the charges, said his wife, Manana Shevardnadze.
