Dangerous indeed
Re “Don’t Wash Out” (April 13): Rafting proprietor Tom Moore says the actual danger of whitewater rafting is lower than the perceived danger. I remember these rafting deaths from the ‘70s: A high school student I taught, my friend’s mother, a man on a trip with my neighbor and a young cousin. It’s always seemed dangerous to me.
