Man Held in Burglary and Attempted Rape

Police have arrested a man on suspicion of trying to rape a sleeping woman after slipping through her open bedroom window in San Juan Capistrano, authorities said Monday.
David Michael Schankerman, 33, of Torrance was being held on $50,000 bail at the Orange County Men’s Central Jail on suspicion of burglary and attempted rape.
