Irish Engineer Shot to Death in Office
From Times Wire Reports
An Irish civil engineer was killed by a gunman who burst into his office in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, officials said.
It was not clear whether the shooting was linked to a wave of anti-Western attacks in the kingdom, the world’s largest oil exporter, by supporters of Saudi-born Osama bin Laden’s Al Qaeda network.
A security source identified the victim as Tony Christopher, 63, and said he was a civil engineer working for a Saudi firm.
