Third Bombing in 3 Days Kills 1 in Northeast City
From Times Wire Reports
A bomb exploded in a hotel parking lot in northeastern Bangladesh, killing one person and wounding at least 50 others, witnesses and doctors said.
The bombing, which occurred after a meeting held by the opposition-backed mayor, was the third in three days in Sylhet city, northeast of the capital, Dhaka. On Thursday, blasts outside two theaters killed a teenage boy and injured seven other people.
No one claimed responsibility for Saturday’s blast, but the mayor said he had received anonymous death threats.
