NBC in 3-Year Deal With DreamWorks

NBC Universal said it had signed a three-year deal with DreamWorks Television, gaining first dibs and an ownership interest in shows produced by the studio.

Financial terms were not disclosed. DreamWorks’ previous two-year production deal with the General Electric Co. network expired in June. That arrangement helped steer several DreamWorks TV shows to NBC’s prime-time lineup, including “Las Vegas” and two new fall offerings: “The Contender,” featuring Sylvester Stallone, and the animated “Father of the Pride,” with the voice of John Goodman as a white tiger that performs for Siegfried and Roy.
