Accused Serial Killer Is Sentenced to Life

A man accused of the serial murders of seven women was sentenced in Port Allen to life in prison without the possibility of parole in the first of a series of scheduled trials.
Derrick Todd Lee, 35, was convicted of second-degree murder in the death of Geralyn Barr DeSoto.
Lee was sentenced after Judge Robin Free heard testimony from the victim’s relatives.
