Aren’t Cops Allowed to Fight Back?
Re “Use of Flashlights Probed in 2 More LAPD Incidents,” Aug. 18: I was shocked to read not that police officers used their flashlights against suspects who didn’t think twice about assaulting them, but the fact that suspects are fighting officers. I wonder what would have happened if the LAPD officers didn’t have their flashlights to defend themselves.
