An Anaheim man was arrested early Monday after leading police on a high-speed chase through two cities, leaping through a home’s second-floor window and being subdued with a stun gun, authorities said.

Jose Santillian, 24, was being held at Orange County Jail on suspicion of felony evading, drunk driving, resisting arrest and assaulting a police officer, according to Sgt. Eric Point, a spokesman for the Placentia Police Department. Bail was set at $65,000.

Point said the incident began about 2:30 a.m. near the intersection of La Jolla and Melrose streets in Placentia when Santillian saw police “and fled, proceeding to run stop signs and red lights.”

The ensuing chase, he said, traversed streets in Placentia and Anaheim at speeds exceeding 100 mph. “He was driving all over the roadway,” Point said. “He was under the influence of alcohol and some kind of stimulant.”

At one point, he said, a male passenger jumped out of the car, which eventually struck a parked vehicle near North Street in Anaheim. Point said Santillian then jumped out, ran inside a house and leaped out through a window on the second floor.

“That’s where he was taken into custody,” with the aid of a Taser shock gun, Point said.

The man who leapt from the car and two other passengers were not charged, Point said.
