Homeowner Broke Into Own House, Police Find

An Oceanside tipster called police after witnessing a break-in at a neighbor’s house and hearing what sounded like gunshots. But when SWAT teams and a police dog arrived, they discovered the perpetrator was the intoxicated resident of the home.
The man broke into his own house through a window and began knocking over furniture, which could have sounded like gunfire, said Sgt. Kevin Kaiser.
