No. 1 Louisiana State Is a Winner on Road
Seimone Augustus scored 22 points to lead top-ranked Louisiana State past No. 13 Minnesota, 75-67, in a matchup Tuesday night of Final Four teams from last season.
Temeka Johnson had 18 points and a season-high 13 assists, and Sylvia Fowles had 15 points and 11 rebounds for the Tigers (9-0), who have now defeated three ranked teams.
Janel McCarville scored a career-high 31 points to go with 13 rebounds, five steals and four assists for the Gophers (8-2), who hurt themselves with 18 turnovers as their home nonconference winning streak ended at 23. Jamie Broback had 18 points for Minnesota.
