No. 4 Texas Wins in a Rout
Jamie Carey scored a career-high 30 points to lead the No. 4 Texas women to a 79-54 victory over North Texas on Thursday night at Denton, Texas.
Tiffany Jackson had 17 points and 15 rebounds for the Longhorns (5-2), who are 9-0 all-time against North Texas.
Mia Ajekwus led North Texas (4-4) with 16 points.

Florida forward Mohamed Abukar has decided to transfer because of limited playing time through the first seven games of the season.
A top recruit from San Diego, Abukar will be the fifth scholarship player to leave the program since October 2003.

Louisville Coach Rick Pitino may consider reinstating freshman center Terrance Farley. Louisville announced Wednesday night that the little-used Farley had been dismissed but did not specify the reason. Farley had played in two games.
On Thursday, Pitino said Farley’s return was possible.
“He’s got to come see me first,” Pitino said.
