Promoter of Hip-Hop Parties Now a Fugitive
A hip-hop party promoter whose gatherings were connected to at least two violent deaths is now considered a fugitive, authorities said.
A $10,000 bench warrant was issued Tuesday in Solano County for Eugene Cockerham, 32, after he allegedly violated probation for a 2002 forgery conviction. According to court records, Cockerham failed to serve 45 days in jail, which was part of his sentence.
The Berkeley resident has attracted the attention of police in several San Francisco Bay Area cities for his parties, which have allegedly resulted in vandalism, looting and fighting.
