South Coast Rep meets money goal

Share

South Coast Repertory has reached its goal of raising $50 million over five years, a campaign that paid for the Costa Mesa theater’s expansion from two stages to three and boosted its endowment for developing new plays and for youth-oriented productions.

Originally hoping to raise $40 million, SCR extended the campaign and set its sights higher after early fundraising went well.

Top gifts were $10 million from tech executive Paul Folino and his family and $2.5 million from former Broadcom executive Henry Nicholas and his wife, Stacey.
