* Eastman Kodak Co. is selling its remote-sensing-systems unit to ITT Industries Inc. for $725 million. The deal is aimed at strengthening ITT’s presence in the $6-billion remote-sensing market, which includes devices used in space exploration and spy equipment.

* The German corporation Siemens VDO Automotive said it had agreed to buy two electronics plants in Alabama from DaimlerChrysler. Terms were not disclosed.

* General Motors Corp. said it would recall about 636,0000 mid-size sport utility vehicles. GM said there had been two reports of crashes related to electronics that could short-circuit. The recall includes some 2002 and 2003 Chevrolet TrailBlazer and TrailBlazer EXT, GMC Envoy and Envoy XL and Oldsmobile Bravada SUV models, as well as some Isuzu Motors Ltd. Ascenders, which are built by GM.
