Bus Driver Acquitted in Manslaughter Case

A county bus driver whose bus ran over a man was acquitted Wednesday of manslaughter.
The driver, Cruz Vaca, and Robert French, who was homeless, had had a brief altercation just before the bus ran over him on Wilshire Boulevard in August 2002.
French had been kicked off Vaca’s bus two weeks earlier.
