Star Trace Is on Eight-Race Streak

Star Trace, an Idaho-bred who has won nine of 12 starts, will make her local debut in tonight’s ninth, a $16,315 allowance at 350 yards.

Owned by Guy Weimer and trained by Paul Jones, the 4-year-old daughter of Treasured arrives in California on an eight-race winning streak. She won at seven venues and hasn’t lost since she finished second at Pocatello Downs on May 17.

Ramon Sanchez will ride Star Trace, who will be opposed by Dashin Dashetta, Lili Call Me, Got Some Future, Pennants Chick and Bobbiesdashnfavorite.

Like Star Trace, Bobbiesdashnfavorite is trained by Jones. She will be trying for her first win in her third start since being claimed for $16,000 on Nov. 20. Alejandro Luna will be aboard the gray daughter of Fishers Dash.
