AOL Marketing Executive to Step Down

Time Warner Inc. unit America Online said a key marketing executive would step down just as the Internet service provider launches new programs to shore up its eroding dial-up subscriber base.

AOL did not say why Len Short was stepping down as executive vice president of brand marketing. It said he would continue to work on certain marketing projects.

Short held the position for slightly more than a year and was closely involved with AOL’s entry into Super Bowl advertising.
