Irvine’s seven-game losing streak -- its longest since 1998-99 -- started Jan. 24 in an overtime loss at Long Beach. Shooting guard Mike Efevberha injured his toe Saturday against UC Riverside but is expected to play. The 49ers rallied from 18-point deficits in games at Riverside and Cal State Fullerton, only to lose both despite having the final possession. Forward Kevin Roberts (15.2 points, 6.8 rebounds) is coming off a season-high 27-point outing against Fullerton.
