From Times Staff and Wire Reports

A state judge denied a request Wednesday for a temporary restraining order against California counties using electronic voting machines made by Diebold Election Systems in the March 2 election.

Voting machine watchdogs sought the order, contending that the machines were vulnerable to computer hackers.

But Judge Raymond Cadei said there wasn’t enough evidence to justify interfering in an election only 13 days away.
