Dozens Injured as Bus Slams Tractor-Trailer
A Canadian charter bus crashed into a tractor-trailer at a U.S. Border Patrol security checkpoint, sending most of the 58 passengers to hospitals. Three people were in critical condition.
The bus, on its way from Quebec to Florida, crashed in the afternoon on Interstate 87 in North Hudson, about 90 miles north of Albany, authorities said.
A witness said the bus was heading south on the highway when it rammed into the back of the tractor-trailer at the checkpoint.
Two other vehicles may have been involved in the crash.
