3 Held After Stolen Item Is Found on EBay
When an allegedly stolen item ended up for sale on EBay, it led to the arrests of three people for the 2-week-old burglary, according to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department.
After thieves took three new espresso machines -- valued at $13,000 apiece -- from a Sacramento business, the owner thought it was more than a coincidence that one appeared on the online auction site.
“This isn’t the first time a victim has found their own stuff for sale,” said Sheriff’s Lt. Bob Lozito, who leads the area’s Hi-Tech Crimes Task Force.
